Happy hours

Spring break is finally here!
For me, this means studying, working on my ceramics project, laying by the pool, and squeezing many happy hours in between. I've been so busy with school lately that I really need this break to relax/de-stress and get back on the ball. With my Dental Admissions Test (DAT) coming up this July and graduation coming up in December, I am under major crunch time.

To start off spring break, my bestie and I went to Tsunami for a dinner date.
For those of you who may not know, Tsunami is a sushi restaurant in Baton Rouge located on the 6th floor of the downtown Shaw Center. It has a great atmosphere, food, and wasabi bloody marys (not to mention, delicious martinis as well). You also have a killer view of downtown Baton Rouge and the Mississippi River.

Getting ready to dig into pure yumminess.

Kind of blurry, but look how pretty. The Hawaiian rolls are to die for!

Beautiful night view of the Mississippi River.

Black lace tank: Express, black lace skirt: Urban outfitters, silver necklace: Express, heels: Guess, wristlet: Coach

As you can tell, I look a little too happy about drinking my bloody mary.

I love to wear black because it pretty much goes with anything, and it's never out of style. I absolutely love this lace skirt and the texture it has, although you can't really see it in this picture. (I promise to take better pictures next time!)
In order to add a splash of color, I wore Maybelline Color Sensational Lip Gloss in Cranberry Cocktail (not only is the color appealing, but so is the name) . Just cause I like to wear black doesn't mean I have to be a boring minimalist.
Accessories always add onto an outfit; it can either really make or break an outfit. Here, I wore a simple chain necklace to complement my outfit without overdoing it. Overall, simple meets simple in order to keep a balance.
